ABOUT THE LEASE CAR SCHEME

North Staffordshire Combined Health offer a lease car scheme for employees who conduct business miles on behalf of the Trust.

The scheme allows the employee to select a vehicle of their choosing to use for both trust business and personal mileage leased for a 3 year period. 
 

What does the scheme include?
 

  • Maintenance and tyres

  • Fully comprehensive insurance

  • Road fund licence

  • UK breakdown cover

  • £150 waiver of any vehicle return damage

  • Insuraing 1 additional driver to use the vehicle for personal use (criteria apply)

Key Points to note....

  • The employee is required to pay a monthly contribution from their net salary

  • The driver may be required to pay benefit in kind tax on the calculated cash benefit of the vehicle at the applicable rate of tax for their earnings (dependent on vehicle choice and personal contribution). Greener vehicles attract the least tax.

  • The driver will be permitted to claim business miles at the rate applicable for lease cars

  • Early termination charges will apply if you decide to return the vehicle before the end of the contract.
